The Year 6s have also been doing ICT technology, learning how to word process on Mircosoft Windows and on our Gogle Chrome Books! They will have an assignment on publishing a poem of their choice using the various features in the programmes...

FOOD TECHNOLOGY

While the Year 7s have been at technology at Buller High School the Year 6s have been doing their own food technology unit - making ice cream!  Their task was to create a new, uniquely flavoured ice cream that would take the market by storm.... 

In groups the students had to decide on what their ice cream would be, what resources/ equipment they would need to make it, where they could find out the information and who would take responsibility for this. They were given a basic recipe for super rich vanilla ice cream and had to decide what else would be included. 

The final part of the challenge was to make the ice cream, which would be judged by a panel of ice cream experts including Mr Hart and Mrs Duston...

Life Education Programme

Room 1 and 2 are enjoying lessons in the caravan this week.  Our focus is

"Being Friends" and bullying.  It. Doesn't matter how old our students are, they still get a real "buzz" from meeting Harold!
